Formed in 2016 with an eclectic mix of instruments, Sea Island & Ferry is a "neo-chamber ensemble" from Hong Kong. Featuring both originals and covers in their repertoire, Sea Island & Ferry puts emphasis on improvisational elements as well as breathing space in their music. The location of its members in the culturally diverse city of Hong Kong has enabled the group to have this unique combination of instruments, and to come across the very themes that inspired their work.

Sea Island & Ferry played extensively in Hong Kong, including at such events as THE WEEKEND presented by wow and flutter and Freespace Happening at the West Kowloon Cultural District. The group released its first album Crossings in January 2018, and held its first crowdfunded multi-media performance in April, titled Crossings - Music X Films presented by Sea Island & Ferry. Both shows were sold out and warmly received by the audience. 

Starting at the end of 2018, Sea Island & Ferry started venturing out of Hong Kong, first with their Crossings IN TAIWAN tour in Taipei, Taichung and Tainan. The group played in the Sakurazaka Asylum festival in Okinawa, as well as Macau in 2019.

Sea Island & Ferry will release a new album titled Telescope in May 2020. The album will be available on streaming, CD, and vinyl for the first time.

「海島小輪」於2016年初組成，以「新派室樂」作自我定位。獨特的樂器組合包括鋼琴、洞簫、大提琴和色士風。「海島小輪」演奏的既包括原創也包括經典作品，重視加入即興演奏的元素，更強調音樂上的留白。也許是因為成員身處在香港這個多元文化之地，所以才有機緣孕育出這個涵蓋中西樂器的組合，透過發掘城市中的題材創作他們的音樂作品。

「海島小輪」於香港積極參與各類演出，曾於「wow and flutter 本地薑週末」及西九文化區「自由約」等活動中獻奏。2018年推出首張專輯《Crossings》，以網上集資方式舉行多媒體音樂會「《渡》音樂X影像航行」，將現場音樂與短篇電影融合。觀眾反應熱烈，兩場演出全部門票售罄。自2018年底，「海島小輪」開始進行海外演出，於台北、台中、台南等地進行巡演。2019年更參與沖繩舉行的「櫻坂ASYLUM音樂節」，並前往澳門演出。

「海島小輪」於2020年5月推出全新專輯《Telescope》。除可在數位平台及CD收聽外，更首次以傳統唱片形式發表。
